I am 61 a retired grandmother and have had RA for about 7 yers now, with a few small flares. Now that I am getting older, it is affecting my wrists. Took only Napoxen in the past for a bad knee and cortisone shots. Knee started up again after a two year period of no pain, no problems! Getting old is awful! I had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in 1988, then diagnosed with Lyme Disease in 1995. I could not return to work after that, as my energy level was so diminished. But I bounced back and was feeling pretty good, until this lastest flair of my RA. I think my Lyme Disease influenced my getting RA. I have two married sons and my youngest son is a Chiropractor so we are into holistic healing.

Interests
My grandchildren of course, my two soap operas, Y&R and AMC, talking to friends on the phone, shopping and walking before my knee started acting up, and keeping up with the news and my computer. Hey Norrie! Thanks for the doctor info...Montclair is good... Yeah, forgot about the insurance aspect...I have an ongoing battle with my insurance company...they denied me Physical Therapy - can't wait to see what they do with hormone replacement!!!

Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
Ra for 7 years. A few flairs, but always got better. Recent flair is more serious. Doctor gave me Plaquenel to try and I am afraid to take it. I need moral suppport.
