I love family, friends, and people in general. I love to help others. I beilieve in the "underdog" and am always supporting those in need. I have a small business on eBay selling clothing, primarily baby girls and young children's clothing. It's a ton of fun shopping for the bargains passing the deals along...and I have met some really intersting people!

Sounds like you're doing relatively, very well. I FINALLY got my SSI in June, and just moved into my brand-new low-income apartment. If I wasn't so tired and sore, I'd be doing back-flips!! LOL!!
So very glad to hear from you Mary!!! I took a little hiatus myself this summer so we can get our DS groove on again together!!! LOLOL Have a terrific vacation and send me a pineapple--the ones here in TX are very bitter!! Cheryl
So happy to hear you are on your way to Hawaii. As for me, I thought I would try school. I'm registered for the Medical Assistant's program next semester. If all goes well, I will try to get off of disability. Have a great trip.

Hey stranger....
In retrospect, my mood problems go back 20+ years, but I was finally diagnosed in 2002. I work part time as a family advocate with our local NAMI affiliate and am always looking for support as well as ways that my experiences with bipolar can be helpful to others.
I've always struggled with my weight, but it got much worse after being dx with bipolar and on meds. I'm only 5' tall and I'm carrying an extra person around with me. lol (100-125 pounds) Want to learn more, then decide about gastric bypass.
I was dx with PTSD in 2002 at the same time I was dx with bipolar. My traumas are mostly childhood related.
I'm the parent of a wonderful son who is 20 years old. He was dx with Childhood Onset Bipolar Disorder at the age of 7, although was symptomatic from at least the age of 2. The journey has been long and painful, but so worthwhile when I see him today. He is my hero!
My husband went to the docs for a virus that wouldn't quit on 1/5/2009. We thought he might need antibiotic...instead, he left with cancer. Now, three surgeries, 6 docs, and tons of tests later he started chemo this week for testicular cancer. I want to do this "right".... not sure what that looks like though.
