Waiting to receive muscle biop and hopeful that test results will reveal and confirm the specific disease that is causing me neuromuscular …
In my early twenties, I had begun to experience weakness in both hands, which I thought was job-related. I continued to work and go to college until I was no longer able. Over the years, the hand weakness progressed with raynaud symptoms and no known medical cause. The muscle weakness continued to spread throughout my body affecting the hands, arms, legs, ankles, feet and respiratory system. However, on the brighter side of things, God continues to bless me immensely. And I am greatful for his love and the wisdom that he shares with me each knew day. Through my medical challenges, I have learned to lean on God and our relationship continues to grow. There is so much that I have learned about myself through life's trials. As a result, I have grown to be more empathetic, patient and caring toward others, instead of feeling bitter. My choice to stay close to God has provided me with an awesome sense of peace that I could never experience without him.

When the mood hits me, I love to connect with others, share some interesting theories about life, laugh and have a good time. My hobbies include anything creative; painting landscapes, drawing portraits, all kinds of craftwork, photography(not professional), nature rides through the woods, star gazing, birdwatching, going to the opera, cultural dance festivals, visiting various tourist attractions, coffee cafe's, Contemporary Jazz/Bossa Nova lounges at night(smoke- free), environmental research and learning about different cultures from around the world And maybe one day I'll find a way to go sailing and travel a little before I am too old and gray... lol

I am currently undergoing a series of tests that may reveal a diagnosis for Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder. I also have a positive marker for Lupus. While enduring various symptoms each day, the most intense include exhaustive fatigue, general malaise, muscle weakness in limbs with neuropathy,arthritis-like symptoms, brain fog, and raynaud's(intermittent nausea, dizziness)
Hello everyone! I have an autoimmune disorder -causes muscle weakness/exhaustive fatigue, respiratory distress. Physicians suspect fibromyalgia, & atypical form of Lupus/MCTD etc. In 2006 a PCP and ENT discovered cysts on my internal organs and multiple sore lipomas all throughout my body. The pain from these subcutaneous nodules were mild unless pressure was applied - mild discomfort otherwise. Now the lipomas hurt all of the time, pain is more pronounced Diff. dealing w/new pain level.
I have a slow-progressing neuromuscular disease that mimics the symptoms of LGMD.
