sorry for your bout of shingles. stress is a no no. try taking something homopathic to help support your nervous system. i am taking b 12's and two other things and it does help. you don't want this again.

Close Shingles
I came down with forehead shingles March 2.I'm doing very well, amazingly well,in fact.I had almost no pain, and since I got on Valtrex quickly,the shingles didn't cover a huge area.My forehead is now only slightly scarred, dry and flakey,and the doc said that may take a few months to go away 100%. I'm having some slight problems, which may or may not be shingles-related,which is why I'm joining here,to talk with others who've "been there, done that", and hopefully calm my own fears.

I've had seborrhea splotches on my face every so often for 20 years now. Used hydrocortisone 1% ointment (just a tiny dab) and it helped a lot. Recently had shingles, and the doc said not to use cortisone on my face. Okay, so what CAN I use? The shingles are gone, but I still get rashy splotches that I need to tend to somehow. Suggestions?

- Hydrocortisone Somewhat Helpful
- Used it sparingly for years, but after a recent bout of shingles, the doc said I really shouldn't put hydrocortisone on my face. Am looking for an alternative.
