    • Close Bone Cancer
      Type: Osteosarcoma

In Feb. 2006, at age 14, I was diagnosed with having an osteosarcoma in my left tibia. After going through treatment and multiple surgeries for 5 months, I was finished. More recently, in Jan. 2008, I was diagnosed with the same thing, in my lungs. The doctors went in and removed my tumors. It's not yet come back.

      Treatments

      Chemotherapy Working / Worked
During treatment, I was removed from my adderall, so unlike most other Chemotherapy patients, I gained weight. I only got sick when they gave me cysplatin(sp?). The chemotherapy was successful.
      Surgery Working / Worked
The long procedure was successful. The top of my tibia, the part with the tumor, was removed. This bone was replaced not only with a donor bone, but inside of the donor bone was my right fibula, and an artery from my right leg. My surgeon has told me that I had much better results than any patient he's ever performed the surgery on.
    • Close Self-Injury

It started in 7th grade. I was being emotionally abused at home, and it was my release. I stopped last year. I only cut once every 3 months or so. The last time I cut was probably in December.

      Treatments

      Rubber Bands Working / Worked
I've just started this lately, and it's been a great deterrent from cutting.
      Tattoos Considering
I really want to get tattoos. I think that it would help a lot. Both as a release and as a way to express everything.
    • Open Teens With Cancer

I was diagnosed in 2006 with an osteosarcoma in my left tibia.

    • Open Depression - Teen

A downward spiral recurred in the middle of 2007 when my best friend stopped talking to me with no explanation.

      Treatments

      Music Working / Worked
Bright Eyes. Canvas. Panic at the Disco. I really do love music. One of my favorite things to do is to drown out all thought with loud music.
      Positive Thinking Working / Worked
I'm rather optimistic, about a lot of things.
      Talking Working / Worked
      I vent, a lot.
      Writing Working / Worked
      I keep a LiveJournal. I don't update it as often as I should/used to.
