Close Retinitis Pigmentosa
I believe I was diagnosed with RP when I was about 15, I'm not really sure. It never caused me a problem until just recently. I've always had multiple floaters in both eyes, and that causes me problems as well. I have lost almost all vision in my right eye, but it could be more than RP, the doctors are trying to figure that out still. I'm 19 now, and it's very hard for me to go on with everyday life. I don't drive, so it's hard for me to get a job, or go to school, I have to take online classes, and that's a lot more reading that an on campus class, and reading is very difficult to do for a long period of time. I'm a very good student, and work very hard, but sometimes I feel like I need extra help, and that's very hard for me simply because I'm stubborn and hate to ask for help. It gets very frustrating and I'm not sure how to deal with it. I don't like to believe I have a disability, but lately I've came to realize that I need to believe it in order to cope and move on with my life.
Close Blindness & Visual Impairment
Well I was diagnosed with RP when I was about 15, but just recently my right eye has gotten a lot worse. i've lost almost complete vision in it. Now I was just told that they think Iw as misdiagnosed and it isn't RP, I have uveitis. And they don't know what is causing my uveitis. I've had every test and treatment in the book and theres nothing they can find. It's very irritating, and frustrating, but I need to learn how to cope with the fact that no doctor will ever find out whats wrong with me
Treatments
- Cortisone (Injection) Not Working
- The injected steroids into my eye hoping it would help my uveitis, but it didn't. Don't worry though, it's not as painful as it sounds.
Open Fitness Goals
Type: Improve overall fitnessWell, I'm 19 years old, and I have wanted to be a dancer/choreographer for quite some time now. Unfortunately I'm not skinny, and at an audition, I won't get a second glance. I have a great dance talent, and have been choreographing for cheerleaders and musicals, but I want to make it big. I need to be fit to achieve my goal.
Treatments
- Slim in 6 Too Soon to Tell
- Well this is a 6 week program, and I'm only on the 3rd week. I feel like it's making a difference, but I don't see ANY results. It's very irritating.
- Pilates Somewhat Helpful
- I liked doing pilates, and it was working at the time. It stopped working because I wasnt motivated and stopped. I'll hopefully get back into it.
- Dancing Not Working
- I want to be a dancer, so I obviously dance quite a bit. When you think of a dancer, you think of a fit person. For some reason, dancing doesn't work for me.
Open Cataracts
Well I just got told that I have cataracts in both eyes. But the one in my right is a lot worse than left. It's been oever a year since they've been trying to figure out what was causing my vision loss and I'm just happy they finally know!!
Open Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Basically, Ive seen different doctors for years now and no one can seem to diagnose whats really wrong with me. The latest diagnosis is that they think I have MS.
