Separated, would have celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this past summer. Been together 8 years before that. So seems all I know. Having a difficult time so I am returning to DS . I have been trying the "fake it till you make it" but am struggling. I have great kids and surrounded by family who support me. Still need the support of those who can relate to this sad situation.

I just read your recent post and my heart aches for you. I, too, still love my ex, but our life together was just too hard on my self esteem and his anger got out of control. I viewed my leaving him as an affirmation of life - a chance to live without constant blaming and belittling. What I do know for sure is that any choice you make will be supported here. I also know that you can't hope to "change" anyone, only yourself - so good for you! Let me know what happens, I care.
