I love this. It's how I think of our client's, little birds in my keeping. No matter what, I love them all.
My surgeon described the DCIS as between stages 0-1 and performed a lumpectomy.
My social anxiety is selective: I LOVE people. I enjoy my relatives and friends. I work in close contact with a lot of people, from those who are familiar on a daily basis, to strangers -- and on an intense level at times. And I can enjoy getting out and around and seeing new things, being where there are strangers. But I STILL become terribly nervous in crowded restaurants, cringe at the idea of a 'party', and I avoid anything that could remotely be referred to as a 'family reunion'.
I am not an alcoholic. I have an alcoholic family member, and I work in alcohol & drug recovery services and want to gain insight into the issues faced by the clients I work with.
I am employed in the Human Services field and among the clients I have contact with are those with Schizophrenia. I am here to learn.
I work in the Human Services field and am in contact with clients who must deal with bipolar disorder. I am here to learn.
I work in the Human Services field, closely with clients in an Addiction & Recovery setting. I am here to learn.
I have a family member who suffers from A & D addiction. I also work in the field of A&D recovery, and am here to learn.
I work in an A & D recovery setting and am here to learn.
Separated two years now, living alone with a pet, planning to divorce.
Separated, working full time swing shift, plus trying to keep a hand in the business my ex-to-be and I started. Also trying to find both down-time for myself, as well as time to socialize.
No agoraphobia. Have overcome a lot of my social anxiety, but not all.
