Close Trichotillomania (Hair Pulling)
Type: TrichotillomaniaI am 36 and have pulled my hair since I was (at least) 3 years of age. I tend to do this when bored, anxious, or stressed. I don't pull from the root. I tend to make a little knot in the ends of my hair and pull that out. So, my hair is very broken at the ends obviously. I keep my hair jaw length or shorter. My hair almost looks like long bangs around my face, but it's not; it's where I've pulled and pulled. I found this site when I was googling inositol as a possible help for trich.
Close Endometriosis
I have stage 3 endometriosis and have had it since 2001. Two surgeries (one with a world renowned expert, Dr. Albee), acupuncture, chinese herbs, and hydrocodone to manage the pain.
Treatments
- Laser Surgery Somewhat Helpful
- NuvaRing Not Working
- Did not work and made me almost suicidal, doctor said it was dumping too many hormones into my bloodstream at once.
- Provera Too Soon to Tell
- Just placed on this in January because I've been diagnosed with hypertension and my gyn immediately took me off BCPs. He said I could get the shot or have a hysterectomy. I think that's a bit rash.
- Surgery Somewhat Helpful
- This kept me virtually pain free the longest. Dr. Albee actually excises all of the tissue instead of just lasering off the top layer.
