  I love what you wrote...you put it in a nutshell...
  
  He shut that door and I found the courage to realize when he did that.
  It is at that moment when you stop clining to hope, dreams and love for your abuser that you find your own courage and your own inner strength.
  
  I call that the 'enough is enough' moment.....Its very hard and sad..But it was when i came to that realisation...I got my freedom from abuse...Thanks so much for putting it into words..Its huge validation.....None of us deserved to be abused..and hearing how we all went through exactly the same behaviours..and pain...Does help me realise..it wasn't my fault..and that they are classifiable abusers..Just to say...I SO appreciate you sharing your experience..Thankyou..it really helps me!
