Yeah it does take me longer to recover but whether it is from the MG, diabetes or thyroid I am not really sure. I know that I seem to pick up everything and it lasts way longer than anyone else in the family has it. Low immunity sucks. Take care.

Sorry to hear about your cold. I am cringing here just thinking about your chest when you cough. I have found that since MG it takes alot longer to get over colds and viruses. Anyway I am glad to hear that you are feeling better.

Close Myasthenia Gravis
I was recently diagnosed with MG and have alot of questions. I'd like to be able to talk with others that suffer with this disorder.
Treatments
- Mestinon Working / Worked
- So far so good, however I'm having a reaction when I consume alcohol. I get flushed, my chest gets tight.. I have trouble breathing and my heart races.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- So far so good. Although we're hoping to drop the dosage soon.
- Thymectomy Too Soon to Tell
- October 2, 2008 I had a Transsternal Thymectomy with a bra line incission and full sternal break. I was in the hospital for 4 days. Will be out of work for 8 weeks. Very limited to what I can and can't do.. such as driving or putting on my shoes. Too soon to tell if it has made any difference. MG symptoms did come back.
