Something substantial that helps those with Addison's disease.
To Dance Again - now perhaps a few steps closer...AND - I just have to tell everyone who has Addison's that I just bumped into a little …
I am a 59 yr.old former medical transcriptionist with Addison's disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, hypothyroidism, human growth hormone deficiency, depression, and in a postmenopausal metabolic nightmare. My Dr.has given little info, and I am looking for answers on the web. I have severe energy fall-offs and weakness near cortisol dosing time. During times of stress I have often collapsed, unable to walk or stand. I have no idea how to proceed with my life.Would like somebody to talk to about what to expect.

I have a lot of interests, but there's just not enough time in a day: They are: Sitting on the patio swing with my awesome, unconditionally supportive and tenderly loving husband, music, research/study of Bible prophecies, hiking, dancing (I hope to dance again someday), our soft cudly puppy (Teddybear2), walking in the woods, relaxing near a mountain stream or lake, motorcycle riding (don't ride much anymore (but I remember), visits with my daughter and son-in-law and my darling adorable grandchildren, sitting in the quiet of our home in front of the fire while it is snowing outside, playing the piano, and writing. AND...there is nothing as soothing and filling as the smell of the forest and the sound of the wind in the pines where we live.

Story's 2 long but in a nutshell:59 yrs old, retired (due to med probs)medical txtionist with: LCA stent, GERD, sleep apnea, Addisons disease,Human Growth Hormone deficiency, hypothyroidism,& depression.Everytime I list these I'm blown away that I'm still alive. Oy!Parents taught me 2 do the best I can with what I have to work with. Due 2 long list of probs I DO have, I prefer 2 think of it as doing the best I can with what I DON'T have.Am happy 2 report my sense of humor is finally returning.
My story's mostly medical, but I find this group 2B interesting&informative. Been glued 2 the news since things started to tumble, so decided to jump in w/my 2 cents worth. Not politically educated and am non-partison voter, but have strong convictions about political issues. No vote for many years.Disgusted/overwhelmed by lying crooks, but started voting again 3 years ago. I guess getting older steels your wool so-to-speak, and I'm ready to get my dukes up again. :) meadowinthewoods
