About Me
I AM A MOTHER OF 3 GROWN BOYS, have been in pain for just shy of one year now..Dont know how some have spent years like this. Wishing I would have found this sight before my first surgery, not sure I could of made it without surgery, but I think after seeing what all have been thru, I may have tried my damndest to work thru it, I tell everyone i know, don't over do it, take care of your health while you have it, because it's hell when you don't have it anymore...definitly changes your life, and many, too many not for the better.

How are you today? I hope everything is going good and your pain level is very low if any. I really wish I had a magic wand so I could wave it over everyone that has pain or other illnesses. Anyway I hope you are feeling ok today. Do you have any plans for the New Year? We are just staying home and having a small get together with some of our friends and family. My daughter is also having some friends over. I am hoping my pain doesnt get in the way(nothing worse). The weather here has been so beautiful. I finally got my meds today that the doctors office has been dragging their feet on the authorization since the 12th of this month. I sware I have the worst luck with doctors when it comes to my back. Well I guess I should let you go for now and leave you with well wishes for a fantastic day and a if I dont get to talk to you before the new year I hope you have a fabulous,safe New Years Eve! Thanks so much for always being here for me. I really do appreciate how wonderful you are. I hope you had a fantastic Christmas! We had a very nice time and really enjoyed celebrating and teaching the children about our traditions. Although Christmas presents were few I think the kids really enjoyed the day. I know my daughter understood that since I havent worked since April that money was tight. She also had her 16th birthday party yesterday. It was so great! And everyone she invited showed up(15kids). Her theme was a casino night and they had a fire and guitar hero for their other entertainment, they also used the trampoline alot wich suprised me a little. It was funny because they never really got around to gambling although she had little stacks of play money made up for all of them. Most of the girls stayed the night but we had all the guys leave by 9 so they could have some time alone without them,lol. It was really a blast for all of us. Today is her actual birthday so she is off shopping with her cousin. Anyway I just wanted to send you a great big hug and let you know that with all of the excitement around here I was still thinking of you and all my DS friends. Have a great New Year too. Close Back Pain
2 back surgies.L5-S1 in march. another in june for faulty hardware,nut came off, still in pain,had mri,says screw is pinching nerves emg confims, surgeon says everything ok, neurologist says different, dont know where to turn
Treatments
- Epidural Injection Working / Worked
- worked for leg pain before first surg
- Heat Working / Worked
- helps the negging ache always felt in my back
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- have to take every4 hrs
Close Chronic Pain
have depression/bipolar, fibromyalgia,and 2 back surg in past 7 mo, if the dr's would have listened to me, instead of just saying oh honey your just depressed, i am angry and totally frustrated,and not alot os support...
Treatments
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- every 4 hrs,working so far....
- Physical Therapy Not Working
- did not help at all, tried the drx traction machine, did not help
- TENS Working / Worked
- tried for awhile before my first surg, felt good but did nothing
Open Degenerative Joint Disease
have been unable to work sinse jan, have had 2 back surgeries,still in pain,now i find out the screw is pinching nerves,can't do much of anything without being in pain, sit too long, stand too long, etc. no longer go on shopping trips, or even out of the house.hard to find people who truely understand what im feeling.
