Stereotypical depressed writer, only with more depression and less writing. My friends say I have really bad luck. I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, Thalassemia minor, diffuse alopecia areata, polycystic ovarian syndrome, major depressive disorder, Complex PTSD, tinnitus, and possible lupus. Despite all of that, though, I'm really fun at parties.

I have diffuse alopecia areata, which I guess is quite rare. Diagnosis not confirmed, but diffuse AA is the most likely suspect. I have had it since age 10, and I've lost over 80% of my hair.
Diagnosed with PCOS in 2003. I've always had normal androgens despite having horrible symptoms. I had to have a unilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (laparotomy) in 2006 because of a 15cm (benign) tumor.
My mother died a very long, drawn-out, painful death on 11/04/2003. Her agony had gone on for years.
Diagnosed with severe Major Depressive Disorder at age 15. It's been a problem since childhood.
Diagnosed with Hashimoto's in 2003. My thyroid levels are *always* normal, but I am highly symptomatic. It's hard for me to get treatment.
Emotional abuse all through childhood. Only minor physical episodes. Have had destructive social relationships.
It started at age 12 when I got the flu. It was accompanied by vertigo. I heard strange music for several days, and then one day the music was gone all I could hear out of my right ear was my pulse.
I've been rather sickly since childhood. Most notable symptoms are hair loss (over 70%), tinnitus, extreme exhaustion, unexplained weight fluctuations, assorted skin problems, an ovarian tumor, poor memory, chronic depression, hyperinsulinemia, edema, pain in joints.
I was severely bullied as a child. After I was bullied as an adult in the workplace, I developed PTSD. I think I've always had PTSD from childhood. I have a fairly brutal bullying story.
Not sure I have lupus. I'm looking for information.
