Close Hyperthyroidism
I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism a little over a year ago. I was having bad headaches and the first doctor I gave to just kept giving me medication for the headache. When I went to a new doctor they diagnosed it right away. It has been hard adjusting to having hyperthyroidism because I can't do some of the things I used to do because of the heat.
Treatments
- PTU Somewhat Helpful
- At first it was working really well, but after over a year it's not working as well. I started off with taking one pill three times a day to one pill two times a day. My levels started to improve thats why the dosage was lowered. Now it seems I am getting worse and the doctors want to change the dosage, but my kidney has been hurting and the doctor said the medication can cause kidney stones. So now we wait for the blood work results.
