Close Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)

first episode was in 03, i was 27 yrs old. cardiac history of mild hypertension, and slight mvp. social history of binge drinking, and caffiene. 03 to 08 PAF, had around 8 episodes in those 5 yrs. converted back to nsr w/o cardioversion. had wide area circumferential ablation of L atrium in jan 08. still on meds, still lots of palps...no a-fib, yet.

Treatments

Coumadin Working / Worked

have been on coumadin post ablation, about to come off.

Diltiazem Working / Worked

worked, but was switched to beta blocker.

Metoprolol Working / Worked

was originally on atenolol, had sexual side effects. now on metoprolol, no sexual side effects, but seems to make me a little tired.
