UPDATED GOALS
I saw my surgeon today for my 2 week post-op visit. He is so nice and gave me a hug. I have lost 13 lbs since my surgery. I was told I can start eating soft foods. So, I went home and had a scrambled egg. I ate it slow and did not have any problems. My husband has been so supportive and helpful since I had the surgery. I am feeling a little spoiled, but I like that. I can't believe it's been a little over 2 weeks since I had my surgery. So, I am doing well, walking every day except today and feeling upbeat.

I am not a little over 4 weeks post-op. This is my first week back at work and I am feeling pretty good. I seem to run out of steam toward the end of the work day. One of my coworkers said I looked good and asked me what I was doing to loose the weight - so I told her I had surgery. I am mainly eating yogurt, cottage cheese, soup, sugar-free pudding and protein drinks. I have at least one Unjury protein drink per day and I try to get in two. I am not tolerating meat or beans yet. I did try some roast-beef hash in a can and I did okay. I have lost almost 40 lbs including the pre-surgery weight loss. I have noticed that when I go for walks now, I have more energy and seem to be walking faster. My sciatica is not bothering me as much. I go to my PCP next Tuesday for a blood pressure check and I am hoping that I can get off the medication. I will have lab work done right before my 3 month check with the surgeon.

I am 9 1/2 weeks post-op. I have lost approximiately 57 lbs. I have been feeling a little more tired this week and anxious for some reason. I have a appointment with my PCP next Tuesday so I am going to mention it to her. I am starting to fit in clothes I haven't been able to wear in several years. My goal is to be able to fit into these designer jeans I have hanging in my closet. I am trying out new foods such as half a light English muffin with peanut butter, or chick peas cooked in chicken broth. There are days when I can tolerate a certain food and other days when i can't. I am still very grateful I had the surgery.

I rode my bike with my husband for about an hour today at Point Isabel Dog Park. I would of never done this before I had my RNY surgery. The weather was fantastic and the scenery was gorgeous. Point Isabel is located right next to the SF Bay. I am starting to be so much more active since I had my surgery - no more staying home for me. I am loving life and greatful, one day at a time, that I was able to have this surgery. I saw my PCP last Tuesday. My blood pressure is down, but my doctor still wants to keep me, for now, on Atenol. She agreed to let me cut the dosage in half. I go back to see her towards the end of September. She wants me to see a nutritionist at UCSF so, I will call next week to make an appointment. I will have to pay for this out of pocket since the nutritionist is out of network.

Enjoying the weekend and don't want it to end. My husband and I rode bikes again at Point Isabel. I just love it when I am riding my bike.
I was feeling depressed yesterday. I am not happy with the pressure that has been put on me at work. I would love to retire, but it's not possible at this time. I am very happy that I had gastric bypass surgery - it's the best decision I made. My overall quality of life has greatly improved.

Not feeling great today. I am tired from a long work week and I threw up after eating 2 oz of ground turkey meat and string beans. The turkey meat was too dry.

Well, I am down approximately 77 lbs. but the last 5 are result of me having the worst cold I have had in years. I have started antibiotics - so, hopefully, I will start feeling better soon. The sugar-free popsicles are great right now.
