I am 54 yrs. old. I have been heavy for most of my life. I have severe sleep apnea and use a cpap machine at night. I am hoping to have gastric bypass surgery. My HMO requires that I see my PCP one a month for 6 months to be weighed. I have 3 more months of weight checks and then I have to see several specialists and have a bunch of tests before my PCP puts in a request for an authorization.
