My husband & I live a wooded area in North Michigan and love it! We are semi-retired. I have 4 grown children, 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild. 1 grandson is Marine, 2 grandsons are Air Force. Lost one grandson Dec. 2007 in auto accident.

Interests
I am semi retired, self employed with screen printing business. My main interest is my family! I love to play poker online even if I am not very good but manage to win a few pennies. I enjoy working in the flower beds and feeding the birds. We have an abundance of woodpeckers of all kinds. My favorite is the Pileated.

I got that book from the web site you recommened on one of the post the weight loss cafe i really like it mind you it is the first day but it challenges your way of thinking i need that because i am an emotional eater but i am so ready for a change. just wanted to say thanks for all your support. look like smoke ruffled some feathers yesterday . what an ending to a race. loved it peace and hugs sherry

Close Diets & Weight Maintenance
It is my desire to lose 30#. When we moved to north Michigan I gained 20# in the first year. I want it GONE! I have recently been DX with Colitis and my GI Dr recommends a high fiber diet.
Treatments
- Atkins Diet Somewhat Helpful
- I got kidney infection. Do not know if it was from the Atkins diet or not. But it scared me off it.
- Counting Calories Working / Worked
- Weighing/measuring all my foods has helped greatly to lose weight.
- Eating Healthier Foods Working / Worked
- It is on going to research eating healthy!
- Eat Less Working / Worked
- What is there to say about eating less! Of course it works!
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
Close Healthy Eating
My Gi Dr. recommends high fiber diet or 35-45 grams daily! Also I would like to shed 30# while eating healthier.
Treatments
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- Treadmill 30 minutes 4x week and stationary bike 3x week. 9
