So glad your feeling good again that's most the battle back "normal". The yoga is the best thing ever for us as it helps keep us centered and will really help your math skills. I was tested at our loval jr college at 45yrs old and they said I had left brain right brain conflict as I was born a lefty and copied my twin brother so the treatment other than drugs was X country skiing as it forces both sides of the brain to work together aced math after that. Keep on doing what your doing maybe lighten up on the bf's mom maybe she's hypothyroid and doesn't know it. Congratulations again Hugs Mary

Treatments
- Armour Thyroid Somewhat Helpful
- This really didnt work for me Im not sure why it didnt work but I still wasnt where I wanted to be with my energy levels.
- PTU Not Working
- didn't work at all, changed to this after tapazole gave me hives.
- Tapazole Not Working
- didn't work, gave me hives so i changed to PTU. i was on this medication to buy time so i could get health insurance to have surgery.
- Thyroidectomy Working / Worked
- worked in the sense that it kept things from getting worse, but the extreme fatigue never went away.
- Synthroid Not Working
- im on it now and its not doing anything may need a different medicine altogether or add cytomel to it.
- Writing Working / Worked
- Great for when my head is full of things I'm unable to talk about. My online journal at Dailystrength has really helped as well.
- Eating Healthier Foods Working / Worked
- Avoiding things that I know give me heart palpitations or bother my stomach has helped make me feel better.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- This has probably been the biggest help in my recovery. Having people behind you (especially those who know what you're going thru first-hand) really lets you know not only that you're not alone, but that there is hope for whatever you're going thru and it will soon pass.
Close Healthy Eating
I am a 21 year-old college student who was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in 2005 and Graves' Disease shortly after.
Treatments
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- I have previously been exercising sporadically, but now I'm going to really start doing it, regardless of if i see physical results or not, I'm doing it because it's good for me!
