      I have a partner who was emotionally and physically abused for 18 years by her last partner and the family.

      My partner has been slowly losing her sight due to some condition she has, it has not just about totally gone, she is in absolute bits, neither of us were expecting her to go blind so soon, we thought she had a few years left yet. I'm trying the best way i can to support her, but its really hard cos she thinks she is now gonna be a burden to me, and getting her to accept help and support off anyone, is virtually impossible as she is so independant, she sees it as depending on people.
