Zyrtec Working / Worked

Am having 2nd episode of severe hives after 17 years free. Antihistamines even twice the average daily dose isnt keeping them at bay anymore. Im trying acupuncture and chiropractor to strengthen my nervous and immune system at the moment. I live in Australia and am so glad to have found this support group.

Close ADHD / ADD

My 26 year old son was diagnosed with ADD when he was 7. He was treated with various doses Dexamphetamine and Catapres. He chose to cease medication when he was 17. He said the withdrawal was horrid and refuses to resume meds.Over the years since stopping his medication he has become increasingly more difficult to deal with. We are having problems with his vocational choices and he refuses to seek any help. He is very musical and yet is afraid of failure. I wish he would seek professional help.

Worked well but caused insomnia and poor appetite.

Worked because he was a natural with animals and is a good horseman.

Music Therapy Working / Worked

Yes, my son is extremely musical but has a fear of failure so won't persue this to a higher level. He loved performing and this helped his self confidence.

Ritalin Working / Worked

Didn't work. Caused negative self esteme and tearful mood swings.
