Close Acromegaly
I was diagnosed in 2003 with a Macroadenoma, on sandostatin until endonasal surgery in March 2004, tumor regrew from surgery by November 2004, had high-yield shaped-beam radiation Nov. 2004 and low-yield in January and February of 2005...sandostatin killed my gallbladder by March 2005...surgery to remove it. 2007 diagnosed with panhypopituitarism from radiation killing my pituitary...now on somavert..almost at a normal IGF level.
Treatments
- Octreotide Somewhat Helpful
- It brought my levels down a little, but it killed my GI track...I was sick all of the time.
