Married for nearly 30 years. My son is currently in jail. I know God is in control. Yet at times I'm not. I have been a chaplin for a few years. Have ministered to women in jail. I have a daughter, and two grand children. My husband is a good christian man. I have a best friend of 20 years. I enjoy crafts, and volunteer at a nursing home. I found this site to hopefully get input from others. Any ideas as how to get throgh this?

I’m With You
I was thinking about you and your son. Hope you are hanging in there. Sometimes people think this should be easier if you are a spiritual person. This is only true to a degree. Sometimes, I think, I expect my from myself because of that. That if we are strong spiritually that this shouldn't be hard at all. Do you sometimes have those thoughts? We all feel pain the same way. Without Him yes it would be haeder. But still that doesn't mean it is pain-free either. We are stronger than we think with help from above and this group too. Love Rhea

Close Families of Prisoners
My 28 year old son,will soon find out how much time he will get for his offense. Please, we can use any suggestions, prayers or ideas how to get through this. My daughter, husband,son, and I are in this as a family. We have always been very close. He made a mistake. Now I feel all four of us are sitting together in a cell.

- At times I feel all I do is talk. To my friend,family members. I read my bible daily, pray, and seek God for strength. It helps.
