  I'm so sorry for your friend's life ended so tragically. The pain and guilt left from a suicide is overwhelming. I know having gone through it myself. Try to remember knowing what you did at the time, you did the best you could for her. Once a person's mind is set on ending their own life, there's little others can do. After all the bible verses people quoted to me, it ended up that a quote from an old movie gave me the greatest comfort: "Each one of us will at one time in our life look upon a loved in need and ask the same question: We are willing help, but what, if anything is needed? For it is true we can seldom help those closest to us. Either we don't know what part of ourselves to give or, more often than not, the part we have to give is not wanted. And so it those we know well who elude us. But we can still love them. We can love completely without complete understanding."
