I have been wanting to do some kind of activity for a long time now. I have struggled so much for a lot of different reasons, mostly because I don't have the motivation or will to get up and do something, and also because I don't like how I feel while I'm exercising. (I hate sweat!!!!!!!)
Well, it's about damned time I change.
My beau and I have been really talking about changing our habits to lose weight. It just seems way too far away right now, but by creating smaller goals, I know it will be easier to track my progress and show myself how far I've come! The weight loss goal will be reached by eating right and exercising. Since I have not done much of anything in a very very long time, I'm just going to start out slowly.
I read on fitness.gov that to get the health benefits, you'd need to do at least 10 minutes of aerobic activity at a time. If I can do 10 minutes of activity three times a week, then ... it will be a big deal. Following this, I can then work even harder and add more activity. I can do 15 minutes at a time or do it 4 or 5 times a week.
Eventually, I will need to do the suggested 2 and a half hours of moderate activity each week. When I have mastered the moderate and need a bigger challenge, I can do the vigorous activity (in half the time!) and do it for an hour and 15 minutes each week... Likely I will be mixing it up and doing both.
I am excited to start!! Dailystrength is a huge help.
