Close Parkinson's Disease

I am a Parkinson's spouse. My husband of 31 yrs has Parkinson's. He was dx'd 10 yrs ago at the age of 46, and had DBS in Oct of 2006. He has been "retired" from the ministry since 2003 and is on SS disability.

Comtan Working / Worked

has helped the effectiveness of Sinemet

Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Somewhat Helpful

had in Oct 2006, not able to reduce meds. When turned off for testing, he was unable to walk

Mirapex Working / Worked

first medication given, continues to work well

Sinemet Working / Worked

My husband takes 9 tablets per day, seem to still be working for him

Effexor Somewhat Helpful

has major problems with depression probably needs to change this med since hes been on it for so long
