I grew up in a "conservative baptist" home, went to a christian private school,(dont recommend!!!
) and have extremely religious parents. Everything in my upbringing was very black and white. Recently, I have had to step up and rethink my whole view on spirits, the after-life, God, Heaven, and even Hell. I am so caught up in what "should be" what it "appropriate" to believe, and what is the reality I am facing. I am begining a journey with my son, to help him find out who he is and where he came from, This is already testing my "engrained beliefe system". Why cant I get past the fact that just because you are taught something over and over and over, and had it force fed you your entire life doesn't make it the "right thing" to believe or ever was true or correct. I am rambling, I have had NO SLEEP! I hope someone gets what i'm saying....................

Yes this is a true reality awakinging when your seeing firsthand in your own family things that dont match the belief systems you were raised with.

I don't think it's that odd that your whole way of being can change fr when you were brought up. Once mature & going on with our own lives out own thinking grows & changes. What really only matters is that you follow your heart & your soul. Our Lord is always there & will aid you whenever you feel you want him. Keep an open mind & I think you;'ll find things will slowly smooth over.
