    • Close Fibromyalgia

Have had fibro for many years but was officially diagnosed Dec 2004. I'm now a local fibro group leader trying to help others. Found O24 Fibromyalgia my best treatment.

      Treatments

      5-HTP Somewhat Helpful
      Aqua Therapy Working / Worked
LOVE IT!!!! Best thing for all body muscle pain.
      Cymbalta Working / Worked
      Neurontin Not Working
Didn't work and made me gain weight.
      TENS Working / Worked
Works great on my back or shoulders.
    • Close Arthritis

I have osteoarthritis in my spine, knees, and hands. I've had facet injections several times and they have helped. Now I have no insurance so have to use meds, swimming, hottub, and O24Fibromyalgia to kill pain. Also have seruonegative RA in my hands.

      Treatments

      Ibuprofen Working / Worked
I take Advil PM to help me sleep through the night.
Pain Management Clinic Working / Worked
I have had Facet epidural injections that have worked. And IDD therapy that worked. But they need to be continuous. I have had no side effects and now have no insurance so can't continue them.
      Relafen Not Working
      Swimming Somewhat Helpful
    • Open Back Pain

I have scoliosis, tethered spinal cord, degenerative disc and bulging disc all in my lumbar area. And I have arthritis throughout my spine. Have had injections that have helped temporarily. I'm still in lots of pain but have no insurance.

    • Open Insomnia

Insomnia is common with fibro. We can't get to the theta/delta level of sleep. I also have sleep apnea so am on a CPAP machine.

      Treatments

      Lunesta Working / Worked
It helps. I'm on 3mg. But have to make sure stomach is empty. Sometimes I eat late.... so doesn't work as well.

    • Open Adoption

I was adopted at birth and recently found my birthmother and siblings. It was a joyful reunion! The whole family is crazy and I love them sooooooo much.

    • Open Hearing Loss & Deafness
      Type: Sensorineural (Moderate)

I've been HOH all my life. No definite reason why. One doctor theorize it was because of antibiotics I was given as a child that damaged my auditory nerves.

      Treatments

      Hearing Aids Working / Worked
      Only on one on one.
      Lip Reading Working / Worked
Helps when I'm face to face. Which is why I'm not to crazy about answering phones.
    • Open Health Care Reform

I demand my rights. The insurance company has denied me so many times on meds I needed without checking to see if I had already taken their suggested meds. They work for us.... we don't work for them!!!

    • Open TMJ

geekygranny hasn’t entered any details for this support group.

Developed along with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis
