About Me
I've had Crohn's since May 2008 and am just learning to accept that I have chronic condition. I think I was in denial for a while about it, but now I am realizing I must play the cards I have been dealt! I try not to let it get me too down, and am thankful that I can still work, see friends, go out, travel, and have very blessed life (although it includes lots of pills, doctor's visits, and trips to the bathroom). Things could always be worse, right?

I'm glad things are doing better with the Pentasa. I am not taking medication as of now. Lialda does not work for me. I'm going to try to go into remission the natural way. It is gonna be interesting to see how this will work, but I trust God to give me wisdom on how too. I juice veggies, take iron pills, probiotics, drink plenty of water, and just try not to get stressed out as much as possible. I trust God that He will give me wisdom on this little expirement. If things don't work out then its back to the drugs. God bless your health this week! And please keep me in your prayers for getting back into remission.

Just wanna give you a hug and hope your doing alright with your health. I saw in your pics that you did a walk to raise money find a cure for Chrone's & Colitis. That is pretty AWESOME! :) I'm gonna see if there is something like that here where I live. God bless! And hope you have a good work week! :)
Shout Out
Thanks for replying to my message. I appreciate it.

Hey girlie, I'm glad that things are alright with your health now after the colonscopy. I know about hemorrhoids. I have internal and external ones. They are no fun at all :( Eating fiber foods and exercise I think help keep them down though...I will need to have a colonoscopy in 2 weeks. Ah! I really don't like them, but I know its about time for me to get one. Continual blessings on your health and please continue to keep me in your prayers cause I'm still out of remission and just am very tired of bleeding right now. My last nursing school class is on Monday next week which is a BIG nursing exam. I'm just gonna be glad that nursing school will be over with pass or fail. At least I'll be able to concentrate on my health more and getting back into remission.

Thanks for the hug :) I'm glad that you are feeling better. Me, I just got out of remission again, but it isn't as bad. Last week I went to my GI doctor (actually my nurse practitioner) and she switched me to apriso instead of lialda. Also, Rowasa enemas. I really pray that it will help me get back on remission again. I have one more month of nursing school. It would be nice to be healthy and strong during this last month so I can care for my patients the best I can. Take care girl, and again, I'm happy that you are getting better :) Continued good health and God bless! ~Cheryl~

Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
I was diagnosed with Crohn's in May 2008. Right now symptoms are bearable, but annoying. I'm just worried things will get worse so want to get it under control. I've been strong and healthy my whole life and am completely frustrated at having to deal with this disease!
Treatments
- Asacol Not Working
- Went up to 4 pills 3x a day and it didn't seem to help, found undigested pills in stool
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
- Still trying to figure out the diet thing, but I know eating smaller portions helps
- Entocort Not Working
- Lialda Too Soon to Tell
- So happy to only be taking 3 pils 1x a day...I hope this works!
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I think it's working, but this is my first course and symptoms aren't 100% gone.
