Close Depression

I have been diagnosed bi-bolar and have for about 7 years; but I believe I have been bi-polar most of my life undiagnosed. I entered treatment upon diagnosis. And have been under a psychiatrist's care since then, along with a therapist's care. My husband and I see a therapist every 2 weeks and I see the psychiatrist about every 3 months. I have just come out of a manic episode and am swinging into a major depressive episode.

Treatments

Celexa Somewhat Helpful

Actually I couln't tell if celexa did or did not do any anything at all. I asked to be taken off of it for that reason.

Cymbalta Working / Worked

I am currently taking cymbalta. I feel as though it is working. I don't notice any adverse effects from cymbalta, so I am 'assuming' it is working.

Effexor Not Working

Effexor did not work at all; in fact I attempted suicide while on effexor and it was at my request that I was released from effexor.

Geodon Working / Worked

I am still taking geodon and to my knowledge it is working.

Lexapro Working / Worked

was on Lexapro and for the time I was taking it, it helped me. I am no longer on Lexapro.

Meditation Working / Worked

meditate at home and I find it has a calming effect on me. So,yes I would say that is working.

Psychotherapy Working / Worked

am still in counseling and it is working for me. Both my husband and I go.

Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked

This helps more than anything. Knowing I am accepted by my friends and family despite my bi-polarism is important to me.

Wellbutrin Working / Worked

I am currently on wellbutrin...........I suppose it helps. At leasst it doesn't seem to hurt.

Ativan Working / Worked

It helps with anxiety.
