Wow, I'm online two days in a row. Surprise!
Paul went back to work yesterday. Pretty whipped and anxious at the end of the day. Keep him in your prayers.
Have a zoo trip planned for Monday with the kids and Kylie
Going to go see Christian at the hospital today. He's doing much better, thank God, and should be home the first part of the week. He scared us a little Wednesday night and Thursday.
Please pray for Jess, Ethin's mom. She is still just torn up because of his death. She was incredibly brave at first but these things have to be faced and it is just tearing her apart. Pray hard.
Anybody want a psychocat? I have one. I have had one for about three months now. Her former owners basically locked her in a closet and left her who knows how long. The guys cleaning the apartment knocked on my door and asked me to take a look at this cat. If it is an animal thing, wild or domestic, there is somebody at my door. Well she was scared, scrawny, dehydrated, declawed (I hate it when cats are declawed) and happy to meet me. I made some contacts with some groups I know. The plan was I would keep get her vet checked, keep her for a couple of days for rehab, and then she could go into the adoption program. Wrong. She needed major socialization, so plan B, I would keep her a while, socialize her and then we'd go back to Plan A. The poor creature needs something, She will be the 2nd animal in 30 years of working with animals that I have not been able to help.
She's much better. She no longer lives in her bunker (my vanity in the bathroom) or her trench (the bathtub). She comes up to you for strokes. She even purrs sometimes and is happy. She was having one of those happy times yesterday with Beth. Beth says "See mom, she's a sweetie" I'm thinking Plan A? then she bit Beth. Anybody want a psychocat? Do they make antipsychotics for cats. Oh well
So life goes on here in the happy fields and streets of NW Ohio. Love and Blessings, Diane
Oh, and does anybody know how to get rid of a peeping buck? The deer keeps coming back to Christian's window at night and scares the bejeebies out of me. The screech owl screeches and Wed. night there was something in the backyard making wild, passionate violent noisy whoopie at 4:30 in the morning and it wasn't cats. Amorous raccoons? Petulant Possums? I haven't a clue :) As usual :D

did she break the skin? if she did not break the skin, it is considered a love bite. though i have one over here that was adopted, she never broke skin here but did when adopted. i have another we just saved from the humane society murder room, and it decided to latch onto my finger with its teeth and did not let go. i had to scruff her when her bite went painful on me and i was thinking, dam, here we are again. outside, sometimes works, even when declawed. the one that refused to tame, patches who went out the second story window (no injury at all) has now decided to be my friend. this is MONTHS later, and it basically joined the tiger colony on a different road. then it came back and keeps sleeping all over the outside of the house or running inside to visit under the door, its family. its amazing though as i thought that cat was HOPELESS and way to energenic for indoors and now it is getting all friendly. they are all individuals. and so people-like, i don't see how they can kill them and feel right about it? a bunch of minihitlers is all they are.

Beth and I agree with 79. It isn't the animals fault, people look at pets as toys rather than companions in our lives. They walk at our side and there even when all others have deserted us.
