About Me
I am a 31 yr old mother of three, a wife, a sister, a daughter, and a friend. My daughter, Cora, was diagnosed with JRA in November of 2007, when she was 7yrs old. I, myself have had chronic hip and leg pain for about 10 years. I have just recently been diagnosed with degenerative arthritis in the sacroiliac joint of my left hip.

Interests
We live in the Ozark Hills of Missouri, and love the outdoors. We enjoy fishing, canoeing, and spending time at our cabin on the Gasconade river. This year, we are homeschooling Cora due to the fact that she missed WAY too much school last year due to her arthritis.

I hope you're doing ok. I agree with the other posts. You should get to the doctor. If you're having any trouble swallowing or your eyes, lips or tongue are swollen, get to the hospital immediately! Take care and let us know how you are.

Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
I am the mother of a daughter with JRA. We are new to this disease, and have lots of questions. She has taken methotrexate since May, and we just got a call telling us her liver enzymes were elevated at her last check up.
Treatments
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- Just got news of elevated liver enzymes after about 4 months of medication.
Close Arthritis - Juvenile
My daughter was diagnosed with JRA in November of 07', when she was 7 yrs old. She has been on methotrexate since May of 08' and we just got a call from St. Louis Children's Hospital telling us that her liver enzymes are elevated. We dont know what to do next. We are afraid for her, her future, and we have LOTS of questions! Other than the elevated enzymes, the MTX has really helped her.
Treatments
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- Beenn on it for less than 4 months, and already showing elevated liver enzymes.
- Naproxen Working / Worked
- She HATED the taste of the liquid, and it doesnt seem to offer much relief. Now that she is 8, we can give her an aleve in the pill form, we only do this when she has pain, which isnt often after starting the MTX.
