So we did our first Bravelle injection tonight. It was very overwhelming when I opened the box. It seemed so simple when the nurse did it, but then it all seemed different. First, I took out the vials and wasn't sure if there was a cover on them and was afraid to pull it off for fear of breaking it. So then I bent the first Q-Cap trying to put it on over the vial with the cap still on. Then I pulled out the needle and it was the big one...after panic sets in I realize there is a bag of smaller needles. The entire time my husband and I are fighting with each other over what is the right thing to do. As all this is going on, i realize why this is happening to us...we need to learn how to work together under pressure!

If my IUI this cycle does not work, we are on to injectables for IUI #3. So I will be right where you are. It can be sooo over whelming, I hate needles I can only imagine how tough it would be and on top of that to be stressed about the proper dosage!!
Oh what we endure!! But it will all be worth it when we get our BFP!!

This sounds so familiar. I did my first injec meds-Repronex and I felt exactly same as you. My hubby mixed the meds and I injec the meds on the abdominal area. The injec itself is not too bad but I had bad reaction to it. The next day that area was red, itchy, and very painful. I did Repronex with IUI and it didn't work. The doc wants me to try two more cycles of Repronex but I had it!! I'm going straight to IVF.
