i live in north carolina with my dad and im very close to my family and friends and love my two dogs roy and bella to death they make me so happy. i also know i want to be a rn, bsn nurse when i grow up and help people like i was helped i want to work with kids i love them to i babysit alot. i love to go fishing.

Hello - thanks so much for the message - I am doing OK - back on prednisilone but that works for me, although I'd rather not be on any meds. But at least it does work. How are you doing? I remember how difficult it was for me to get through school with CD - and then when I did my teaching degree - the early years of teaching were punctuated with flare ups - BUT I got through it AND so will you. You have a strong spirit and I don't doubt for one minute that you will win over this condition - you will learn to live around it so that it doesn't affect your life so much - you will win and you will go through remission. It won't beat you. Thinking of you.

Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
hey my name is kayla and im 17 years old i was dianosed at 14 on jan 25 i have been on this site since then & it has helped me with everything. i was sick for like 6 months before i was diagnosed some doctors said they did not know and one said maybe it was acid built up or something like that but then i got to a gi and found the problem and have had to many flares so far& 2 surgeries but over all im handling it and dealing with it pretty good thanks to my family and friends at home and on here.
Treatments
- Cipro Working / Worked
- it does pretty good for me i go on and off of it when i have flares.
- Purinethol Working / Worked
- i guess it works it just upsets my liver and gives me pancreaitis sometimes but just taking what docs say so
- Surgery Working / Worked
- i have had 2 surgeries 1st was successful for a while but had to have another so maybe 2nd times a charm
Close High School Stress
im in 11th grade this year and being in high school and having crohns is so hard and difficult especially if your sick alot during the year and plus high school is hard anyway.
Treatments
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- i see a psych. about once or twice a month and she talks with me about dealing with stress from school and all that mixing with crohns disease.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- my friends and family are so great with helping me out with everything i love them so much and would be so lost without them.
Open Teen Anxiety
when i got diagnosed with crohns i also got diagnosed with depression and anxiety everyday i wake up wondering am i going to be in pain and when i will be sick again and it scares me because the pain is so bad i just keep replaying my bad flares and things over and over it runs and ruins my life i cant live like a normal person because of it

- Clonazepam Somewhat Helpful
- makes me so sleepy but helps a little
Open Hodgkin's Lymphoma
my best friend has been diagnosed with hodgkins lyphoma and i want to be their to support her so help fill me in on how yall feel and everything so i can better understand what she is going through
