It's been awhile since I've been written anything here. Just can't seem to find the time. Had my MRI done on Thurs. I'll be anxious to see if any new lesions have developed since my last one in Sept, 2006.
Went to see NCSA production of "West Side Story" on Sunday. That was my Mother's Day present. It was really wonderful. I enjoyed myself. I think Jim did, too. At least he said he did.
I guess I don't write as much as other people in DS because I don't feel my problems are as bad. Some of the people are really suffering with MS and other related problems. I don't see how some of them can cope day to day. I feel like I shouldn't complain about my problems which seem pretty insignificant compared to others.
Should be a good week. No dr. appt. for anything!

April 10 - Today I'm feeling pretty good. Got some pain meds for my hurt back and feel somewhat better. I go to see Dr. Porter (my neurologist) today to find out results of my cognitive testing done several weeks ago. Want to find out if the MS is making my brain less functioning that it normally does!!! Weather should be warmed today. That will help my attitude. Going to ask Dr. Porter if I should continue yoga since I hurt my back doing it the first time.
April 9 - I went for a yoga class on Sat. Read where it was good for MS people. Maybe I'm too old to start, but my back is killing me!!! Really liked the teacher and she said to stop if anything bothered me, but it seemed to be OK, till the next day. I'm at work today, but walking around like I'll break. Anyone out there take yoga? This too, will pass. Soon, I hope!!!

I do yoga and I love it. I bet it was the muscles in your back that run down to your hips. I was terribly sore there for the first few weeks. It is from sitting in a upright posture with my legs out in front of me.My muscles are working so hard just trying to sit without a chair back. The good thing is to keep going. Your muscles will get stronger. My muscles don't hurt afterwards but sometimes those same muscles get tired as I am doing the asanas. It will pay of you will get stronger and you will feel wonderful. Take a look at my July 14th journal entry.
