Good Morning My New Friend. Wow you have a full platter for sure. How you can work full time at a Law Firm is great. Enjoy every moment. I too enjoy true crime etc. Love to read. My life has been changed so much in 5 years time. I see you are taking Novantrone with no side effects. You are blessed. It also did slow down the progression of my MS at first. but then starting have A Fibs with my heart, and it continued. So everyone thought best to stop it. At the present time, no therapy at all till they get my heart under control. I did have some side effects from the chemo, I had terrible nausea, and did have some loss of hair too. I also got very fatigued afterwards like the 4 day or so. I have secondary primary progressive MS, what do you have. Do you get the MS Hugs and where is your MS mostly located. Mine was from knees to bottom of feet, now it has reached up to the hips, where I was getting terrible spasms, actually at night pulling my leg right up. I now have just recently started on a new muscle relaxer called Baclofen...got to see if it works. Have a Wonderful Weekend. Hugs and Hugs

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSI was dxed in Sept. 2006. The sign that sent me to my internist was the fact that my hands felt strange. Kind of numb and somewhat painful. She decided to send me to for an MRI. When the results came back, she sent me to a neurologist, who ordered another MRI and and a vision test. The results of the two tests were enough to confirm my diagnosis according to my neurologist, who specializes in MS. I an a five day IV of solu-medrol which was supposed to help my hands, but didn't. A
Treatments
- Betaseron Too Soon to Tell
- I am waiting for another MRI to be done the beginning of May so my dr. can see if there are any new lesions.
- Solumedrol Not Working
- Didn't help numbness in my hands.
- Novantrone Working / Worked
- I go to the Cancer Center at the hosp. here in my city every three months to get hooked up to an IV for about 30 minutes. This cancer drug is supposed to slow the progress of MS.
Close Tinnitus
I have had pulsing tinnitus in my right ear now for over two years. Doesn't affect my hearing. I take meds for high blood pressure. Recently had an arteriogram to see if there was a blockage, etc. Nothing could be found by the dr.
Open Hypothyroidism
Had thyroid checked by my neurologist during a routine visit for my MS.
Treatments
- Synthroid Working / Worked
- Have only been taking about one month. No side effects noticed so far.
Open Cervical Cancer
I am a 16 year survivor of cervical cancer. Although I know treatments have probably changes since 1992, I would like to offer my support to anyone who could use it. Please feel free to contact me if I can help you in anyway or just listen.

- Cisplatin Working / Worked
- Worked - no bad side effects
- Hysterectomy Working / Worked
- Worked. Radical hysterectomy (but no removal of ovaries)
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- Worked. Five days a week for six week. 15 minutes per treatment. Looked like a case of sunburn. Still have markings from treatment.
