IGF-1 is 36 (normal range is 12-47); Growth hormone is 5.4 (normal range 0-15); and Prolactin levels is 40 (normal range 85-500). The best news is that the tumour has shrunk. I was diagnosed in Nov 2006 with a macroadenoma measuring 20.6x18.3x17.6mm. It now measures 11x13x16mm. The only bad news is I am still glucose intolerant. Diabetes is also in my family so need to lose the weight, particularly around my waist. Easier said than done, but doctors don't really understand that! We are still holding off on surgery so will continue with 4-weekly injection of Somatuline autogel and weekly Dostinex tablet.

I have the same issues about the weight...so discouraged....but keep trying...every day is a day where I can try to be healthy...

So glad to hear that the tumor has decreased in size and that your levels are within normal range.
I like LaPoète's advice I think I'll try to follow it for myself as well.
