Mid-30s wife who fell heavily in love with this exciting, beautiful man....whom I discovered has a cocaine problem. A family life later...we are still together trying to make a life and raise a family....Did I say trying? Yep.
Treatments
- Meditation Working / Worked
- I listen to Joel Osteen because I put God first instead of my husband. I love Joel's enthusiasm even though I'm a practicing Catholic.
- Positive Thinking Working / Worked
- Positive thinking FAITH has helped me through these hard times. Quietly surely knowing that in the end it will work itself all out helps tremendously but its maintaining the strength to even begin to think that way is for me the fuel for positive thinking and faith.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- My counselor is great - he's actually a drug counselor even though I don't take any substances. I like him because he knows the unique position a spouse of an addict is in.

- Acceptance Too Soon to Tell
- A simple yet powerful concept to wrap one's head around. Will take time for me, meditation.

- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Though I don't abuse drugs, I go to a drug counselor. He is spiritual and knows the mind of an addict- the very things I needed to work with.
- Talking Working / Worked
- I used to talk more about it but now I just wait to talk to my counselor. When I found myself calling my friends over and over about this or that, I felt like an old record all of a sudden. I pray and talk with my counselor.

My husband was recently diagnosed with ADHD. I am researching and coping. I joined the group to get more insight.
