Feeling Great Mood
Saturday, October 31, 2009

It's Halloween and I haven't written is such a long time.

Update  I'm 21 weeks and doing great. My belly is growing and I feel wonderful.

I had a test done and the doctor told me my baby had no symptoms for Downs syndrome was was such great news. When he told me I teared up and cried I was so happy and relieved that my baby was healthy. I'm such all mothers want to hear that there baby's are healthy. That to me  is the most important thing.

I got back from Hawaii and had a wonderful time in paradise. The memories will last a life time or until I can get back there again. Everyday we got to see the gorgeous view of the ocean from our hotel balcony window. There were so many activities and were all great

from a luau to Polynesian shows to just relaxing in the beach and getting a tan to world class shopping. It was all spectacular and and of course all the eating.

Once I got back from my Hawaii trip I started to pop out my belly just from one day to the next was bigger and everyday it has been growing. I just love my baby belly and everyday  I give thanks for my blessing. I am just so happy.

Getting ready to go Mood
Saturday, September 26, 2009

I'm getting everything ready to go on my trip.

I have all my packing to do. Here it is the day before and I've just started to

pack. It's amazing how busy I've been at the office and when I get home I do

absolutely nothing. Boy I'm getting to be really lazy I was never like this before.

Anyway I'm just blame it on my state after all I am in a motherly state as my veterinarian

called it when I took my cat in for shots last  Saturday. His an older vet.

So I got out the red suitcase and got my most important item my bikini. I had the hardest time

finding one that fit my new baby body and looked good on me. It's already the end of Sept.

and of course all that were left were the rejects that people didn't want. The color selection

was also not to my liking.

I went to my moms house and told her I couldn't find a suit. She said well just bring

me one of your old bikinis and go to the fabric store and pick out some stretchy fabric

that you like and I will make you a bikini and adjusted it to your body.

I went and found 2 fabrics one with a print and one in a solid color. both an orange color.

I like bright colors for bikinis.

We cut out the pattern using an old bikini and she sewed it. It was perfect. And of course I look great in both of them. My mom is the greatest.

So back to the packing. I got everything in and had so much room left over in the case.

That's good because I can buy stuff in Hawaii and fit it in my case.

I'm taking a big carry on purse with some healthy snacks to munch on if my baby belly gets hungry. I may even put a sandwich in there. From what I recall from the last time I visited the islands it's a long flight and they serve peanuts and pretzels and some kind of lunch

which I already know is not healthy for my baby.

I've invited my sister to came on the trip with me I bought her tickets and told her it was a

gift for my favorite sister( she's my only sister). She has never been there and has always wanted to go. So I just surprised her one day and told her to start  packing her bags because

she was going to tag along all expenses paid just because she was my very favorite sister.

She was so happy. I did warn her that I would be attending a dental conference during part of the stay but we would also be doing a lot of fun stuff and we would stay at a really nice resort.

And I had booked the hotel to stay on for 5 more days after my convention.

She said that was fine with her. So she has been packed for a while now. and here I am just

packing at the last min.

I seem to have everything ready my most important item to pack of course is my beautiful

baby which is already packed inside me. Hee, Hee, Hee.

I  e-mailed my R.E and gave him an update on my status and told him I was going on this trip.

He told me to have fun and not to do any sunbathing.( he was just kidding). Of course I'm going to get a tan. I'm going to the beach not Alaska.

I'm very excited about my trip, but not as excited as my sister is. I'm happier to be pregnant

and having my little one growing in me.  I can't explain it. My baby just makes me happy.

I'm also taking my cross stitch project that I have been working on on the flight to work on. I just need to get some plastic children's sissors because of all the plane restrictions about sharp objects. iIm working on a project for my baby's nursery.

Well I'm off to the islands tomorrow for fun in the sun, walking in the beach, shopping,

going to a luau, and on a boat to see the turtles, eating out at really nice and exotic resturants. oh and to a dental convention also.

I hope my little one likes Hawaii.

Journal Entry for September 24, 2009 Mood
Thursday, September 24, 2009

I'm now 16 weeks pregnant.

Where does the time go?

I had my appt wit my doctor today.  Heard my baby's heart beat again. What a marvelous sound music to my ears. I also saw my bay on the ultrasound screen.

My baby is growing fast it is now 4 inches long and so beautiful. I could see the little spine and all the little vertebre and the fat little belly. My baby doesn't look like a little duckling any more it looks like a little baby.

The doctor meassured my belly. It's getting bigger it must be all that food I've been

eating. He said everything looked fine and I was so happy.

He sent me to get some blood test for trisomy 18 and downs syndrome. He said it's just a routine test he does on everyone at this stage in their pregnancy and not to worry.

I did have a scare yesterday at work. I had one of my hygenists come to me at 10:00am

and tell me that at her doctors appt yesterday that he diagnosed her with shingles and chicken pox. I just about wanted to faint, but of course I didn't. I told her she had to

go home and to her doctor and get a medical clearance from him before she could come back to work. She went home and her whole work area was disinfected.

I went to my pregnancy book and looked it up. I've already had the chicken pox a as

a child but I called my mom and asked her. She siad she thought I already had it.

So I should have immunity to it. At my doctors appt today I told him of he could run

a blood test for the Veracella zoster antibody. just to see if I had it. He said that he would but if I have already had it I should be o.k.  I had the blood test done and should have the results tomorrow.

I'm very happy the nurse said that at my next appt they will be able to see what gender the baby is if it cooperates. Hee, Hee, Hee. at todays appt it was moving it's arms and the little umbilical cord that's about it.

I forgot to write at my last docteors appt he gave me a picture of the sonogram like he does at each appt. When I got to my office and looked at it again it looked like 2 babies in 2 seperate sacs. So strange I showed the picture to the girls at work and they all

asked if I had 2 babies ? I said the doctor said I only had one. They said it looks like 2 look?  It did. So I called the doctor the next day and told the nurse she said she would ask the doctor. She said he remembered only seeing one. But to bring my sonogram picture so he could see it.

I dropped off the picture after work. The nurse called me back and said the doctor said it was just shawdows and not another baby. I told him that my orignal numbers were very high but they found only one baby at the time. I also told him that I was starting to ballon out. He said it was normal at my stage to start showing. But that he would schuled a

sonogram at another place to get a more detailed picture of the whole uterus. And that he was sure that it was only one baby.

The nurse calle me that on a tuesday and said she had set up an appt for me that afternoon

for the sonogram. I went right away and was so happy to see my baby again. The tech.

found only one baby. and she said the baby was to small to see the gender. But my baby was moving all over the place she said it was a very happy baby. I had just had a small bottle of orange juice right befor the test. maybe that's why thebaby was moving so much.

She looked at all the organs and heart and said she would send a report to my doctor.

So that is my twin story. I was a little sad when I was told it was only one. I would have loved to have two. But I am so happy with the little one that I am blessed with.

I 'll fly to Honolulu, Hawaii  on Sunday and won't return till the 8th of Oct.

I'll have some fun in the sun, and have a little vacation.

I'm glad you and the baby are doing so well! I was a little disappointed when I found out I was having only one also, but it soon went away when I got caught up in all the baby fever. Congrats!
