I'm a social worker by profession, but currently am a stay-at-home mom to my daughter, Natalie. My partner and I have been together for 11 years. Our little girl, Natalie Eva, was born April 30, 2009 -- 5 days early! We have two cats and a rabbit and are both huge homebodies.

I had thought about teething, but he's never really been a great napper even without teething issues! We've at least been able to get back to him falling asleep pretty easily. I had to just decide to stay home for a few days in a row and get him back in the habit. I'm hoping now we can at least keep that going by making sure we're home for him to get at least one nap a day - I just don't see how I could stand not going anywhere with him to avoid having him fall asleep in the car! Yesterday he took a 30 minute morning and afternoon nap, and then we went shopping and he fell asleep in the car on the way home. I'm just still wrestling with whether or not I should tackle getting him to sleep longer than 30 minutes. My gut feeling is that he would be much happier by the end of the day if he would at least take one longer nap, but the other day he slept for 1 1/2 hours in the car at around noon and then wouldn't take another nap the rest of the day. He's a little "rough around the edges" by evening, but I'm not sure if he would be that way even with longer naps...if that's just how babies are! So, for now I'm going to be happy that he's at least back to taking 30 minute naps...and I'll see how I feel in a few more weeks!

After two failed tries at home, my partner and I are working with a fertility clinic and decided to jump right to IVF. We had the transfer yesterday and are waiting for the blood test.
My partner and I are expecting our first baby in May 2009.
