Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
I have both Lupus and RA. The RA was recently diagnosed, and I began additional treatment for it at the end of May. I have been dealing with symptoms of arthritis all my life, but my Lupus diagnosis came about ten years ago after many many test and painful and sick days. However, through it all, I am blessed.
Treatments
- Azathioprine Working / Worked
- Has worked well with most joints and muscle pain. Did little for the pain and inflammation in wrists and hands.
- Celebrex Working / Worked
- Was short term use. Insurance company would not approve.
- Folic Acid Working / Worked
- Hydroxychloroquine Working / Worked
- Controls the symptoms of Lupus.
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- Just switch to the injections and to 25 mg dosage. I have had less side effects. As far as whether it is gooing to work, well, only time will tell.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I'm on Medrol off and on depending on what is going on. It is easier on my body. I also don't have to deal with the weight gain with it.
- Tylenol Working / Worked
- Restoril Working / Worked
- This sleep aide allows me to rest without feeling hungover the next morning.

Hi! I'm a middle school teacher, and I love what I do. However, I am afraid that I won't be able to continue doing it as long as want. I was diagnosed with Lupus six years ago but have had symptoms for nearly eighteen. I have also been diagnosed with RA.

- It gave me back the use of my hands.

- Controls nightly muscle spasms in my legs.

I was diagnosed with HBP 26 yrs. ago and am now facing kidney function complications.

- All processed meats cause severe headaches.
- Benicar Not Working
- Did not interact well with other medications.
- Dyazide Working / Worked
- No complications
- Fish Oil Working / Worked
- I take this for the treatment of RA but it is possible that it works to control HBP.
- Lisinopril Not Working
- Allergic to ace inhibitors.
- Lisinopril/HCTZ Not Working
- Allergic to this particular ace inhibitor
- Procardia XL Working / Worked
- Take this to treat Raynaud's Syndrome.
