    • Close Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency

      My name Is Heather and I have Alpha-1. I was diagnosed about 12 years ago, becuase I was being tested for Lupus and this showed up. Of course at that time, my doctor told me don't smoke and you'll be fine. In the past couple of years, my breathing, exercise tolerance and chest pain has become worse.Now, I see my pulmonolgoist sometimes once a week. I do 4 breathing treatments a day and I am no longer working. I feel lost.

      I have Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Defiency which has led to problems with my asthma. Recently, I was in the hospital for esophagitis caused by the inhaled steriods. has this happened to anyone else?

      Nubulizer 4x's a day
