Near the community where I live, there is a parent support group that meets every month. This was extremely helpful …
a HA! Perhaps I can be helpful to you on this one! I had the same problem and got my doctor to agree to take out the baby carriage! I had no plans to use it any more and it was just driving me nuts!
It was a bit of a tough recovery but after a couple of months I had never felt better!

OK here comes the nurse in me. I know that I have said i work for 4 realy great docs, but on top of that they are obgyn. There are many great oral med to help with cramps, that being that there are side effects and you will need to make sure your doc know what else you are on for meds and if you have any history with high blood pressure. The more concervitive docs wont give pills to ladys over 35. In our office we watch you very close if you are over 35. There are also some surgical options out there now too and they work great. Just be sure to tell the doc how heavy your periods are too. Good luck let me know how it goes Robin

I've heard that tubal ligation leads to heavier periods and more severe cramping. *owie* Like the others mentioned, I had a hysterectomy. My uterus was enlarged from fibroids and I had a huge cyst on my ovary. In my case the surgery was needed. A hysterectomy might be a little extreme for montly cramps but in my case I am glad I did it. All I can say is ask your doctor for some pain medication or RX strength IB. Of course, rule out anything else first.
I couldn't do BC pills, they always messed me up and after age 35 I was high risk cuz I smoked and got leg cramps. (I quit smoking 3 yrs ago, I'd developed COPD and just got tired of the mess and expense.)
Heating pads work, I spent half my life laying on one. LOL
Hope it lightens up soon.
*hugs*

P.S. Yeah, we have an entire collection of Disney ornaments. I subscribed to a collectors series for my husband for about 4 yrs. They are really cute! We used to get one monthly but now only get 1 or 2 a year. My only complaint is that they are plastic and not shiny or festive. I like that mIckey one cuz it's shiny and pretty. :-) I'll post a pic of some of our others ASAP.

I sympathize with you so much! I never got cramps but got digestive upsets so bad you could call them cramps. Nothing worked until I stopped eating wheat and preservatives. Wouldn't it be interesting if everyones complaints would be solved by stop eating that stuff? I would surely talk to my doctor about what would work for you. Skys the limit!

I too had bad cramps but not ever month.Mine started when i was around 10 years old,and i hurt so bad that my parents took me to a doctor, but i could not tel you what all he did,but whatever it was it helped me.I was never put on any pills. After i got married and had my daughter i would get infections every once in a while, then i had to have a Hysteretcomy in my 20's.I really hated i had to have that because i wanted more children. My daughter has always has a bad time each month, hers is worst than mine ever was.I pray you can find a doctor to help you with them.god bless,Shea..................

I had a tubal years ago and my periods became heavier so I had a hysterectomy. It's the best option I did. NO MORE PERIODS.
