Thank you. I didn't recognize your name so I clicked and saw your profile -- my dad is a retired Captain from the NCSHP. Great luck with your studies.
I get migraines, but was put on Tegretol for petit-mal epilepsy. I was so brain fogged, that I could not form my sentences, let alone get them out: yet had a friend who'd been on the same drug for many years, and it only affected his memory slightly - ie: he'd forget to call in to shops on the way home. After 1 week I took self off the drug. Know 2 children who were put on it aged 9, & 11: their school work suffered: one lad asked his Dad to tell the Dr. he couldn't take it - so the Dad took 2 doses - and found he couldn't think clearly at all, and had a feeling of confusion. Reporting of psychotropic drugs is lax - as there is often little choice (I know this, as I trained as a Medical Librarian. If you continue to have this problem, I'd just tell your Dr. you are quitting the Tegratol. I cannot help you with the other drug, as I have not heard of it. Best wishes, JaneD. (going on leave for a few weeks!)
Fresh flowers are wonderful, but these aren't so bad either! I felt hopeless also, but got through it somehow. Don't ever feel hopeless. Your body will have other symptoms if you feel hopeless. Go for a walk, a bike ride, watch a funny movie...anything to get your focus off of the pain. Hello new friend!
It is going on 18 years that I have had migrains. Know one can seem to control them. When I get a eposoid I see spots in front of my eye, which makes it diffcult to see. All I want to do is go to sleep. I don't know how many times i had to leave work do to that I couldn't function any more. I am so tired and fusterated that know one seems to be able to help me, and the ones who should know the answers don't.
