I was just diagnosed a week ago (8/4/08) after years of being told it was in my head. Now I guess I know my head is out of my head so to speak, and I can begin my healing journey. The chiari institute is back home by my parents in NY, so hopefully I'll be able to go there to get further evaluated. I want to get my life back on track.
I was first diagnosed with mono in 1997, apparently after I had already started kicking the virus. I was diagnosed with chronic epstein bar earlier this year, and a had a positive monospot test about a month and a half ago. I've had at least two or three other episodes between these two times that I can say were probably mono based on my symptoms and stuff. I also have Arnold Chiari, so I don't know which of the symptoms are from what all the time, but at least now I know what's going on.
I was diagnosed with EDS in February at TCI in NY. It explains a lot but man do I have questions!
