I took my first Xyrem (from the fibro study) last night. I did okay, except that it took both doses b4 I went to sleep. I was so afraid that I got the placebo, especially considering it tastes terrible. Unfortunately I have a sensitivity to tastes and smells, and this is sodium based, and it is strong.....yuck. Tonight I went and bought some V8 to mix with it. It was easier to take, but still not pleasant. I am sitting here now, after taking my 1st dose, feeling a little drowsy. I must wait for 2 hours after the 1st dose b4 I take the 2nd dose. I'll be sitting here till 10:30, waiting....LOL.
I am so excited at the very thought of being able to be a Mom, wife and employee again. I have been so miserable for so long, I hope I can remember how to be all those things, successfully.
I am getting pretty tired, so I am done journaling for the night.

I'm going for a sleep study this weekend and am very interested in Xyrem. It doesn't sound to me that you got a placebo and will follow your journal for information about it. Please keep us posted. Thanks.
