    • About Me

Jo has working in the field of geriatrics for 30 years with an emphasis on Alzheimer’s and related dementias. She opened the first Dedicated Alzheimer’s unit in Southern Florida. She was the Regional Director for the National Alzheimer’s Association in Riverside California for seven years. Her exemplary work with the Alzheimer’s Association gained her recognition and she was named the “Woman of the Year” by the League of Woman Voters of Riverside County California. She has lectured nationally to family and professional caregivers. Jo’s passion for her field and her love of caregivers guided her to write the book "Reflections For A Caregiver", This book helps caregivers, especially those caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or related dementias to work through the many problems they face daily. It also provides inspiration and validation while providing them with the comfort of knowing that they are not alone and they are doing a great job. Jo states; I saw the need for a daily read book that would encourage and empower caregivers. They often spend a lot of time alone and they need to know that someone cares and that they are doing a good job.
