So i'm now 29 weeks prego. I'm really feeling stressed about all the things "they" say you can't do and can't have while prego.
We bought a house a couple months ago and are now renovating it. There is lots of work to be done and not much help at all. Basicly just hubby and I doing the work and we don't have the money to hire help.
So i'm trying to be careful about what I do and how I do it. I am a very hard worker and i'm not used to not being able to do anything. I bought a respirator so that when i'm around dust and fumes I will be protected but i find myself paranoid and worried that in this process I could hurt the baby.
If I went by everything the internet says I would shut myself in a steril room and never leave. So I just don't know what to think.
The next project I need to work on is sanding painted wood trim. And I know lead paint is a concern (don't know if there is lead paint or not) So i don't know if i should do it or not even with the respirator. And than am i ok to take the mask off when I leave the room or should I have the mask on the whole time I'm in the house.
On top of all this I have gall stones and have been put on a very low fat diet to control attacks. So i'm constantly trying to figure out what I can eat and what to eat at every meal.
Feel like everything in my life is a big question and hoping I make all the right decisions.

So I'm in my 19th week and all is well. I'm growing big time so I hope that means baby is growing just fine. I defenitely look pregnant now. I'm anxious for the ultrasound in a couple weeks. I'm praying and begging God to let me feel the baby move. I haven't felt it move yet and it would be so great to have that happen.
I have been experiencing so many weird side effects of pregnancy. The ones you read about but don't know anyone who has experienced them. Crazy! For one not so uncommon I have terrible terrible siatic pain. My butt hurts bad when i sit or stand. I burn so easy in the sun even with sunscreen, I've deveoloped skin tags on my nipples, have lots and lots of flem, and tons of discharge. Fun Fun haha.... Thankfully I don't have heartburn though.
I'm getting really excited about becoming a mommy and being a family. It's going to be a great Christmas and New Year!

Glad to hear everything is progressing without problems. Take care and I hope the uS goes well. XO :)
So I've been enjoying the growing of my belly. was looking very prego in my 16 week belly pic.
Then yesterday i woke up with a much smaller belly. And it's still small today. I don't even look pregnant. just look a little puggy like i did earlier in my pregnancy. I guess it could have been bloat that has gone down and or baby changed position. totallly frustrating and a little concerning though.
I bet I could even buttom my pre pregnancy jeans! This is crazy. Talk about not feeling pregnant. Symptoms were left back in the first trimester and now I don't even have the belly to show for it. Just heard the heartbeat on Thursday and all was fine. Maybe I should go in to hear heart beat again.
tottally bummed..

Sounds like bloating and movement to me. I wouldn't worry as long as the heartbeat was good and strong. If you are really concerned call your doctor. Did you by chance measure your belly before you feel you shrunk? I wonder if you measure again now if the measure would be different or just moved around. Maybe baby has moved and isn't protruding as much because of the position change. Hoping you continue to have a happy and healthy pregnancy. That little one will be here before you know it. XO :)

I too took forever to show, but it finally did happen and I cant fit into any of my regular pants anymore now (29 wks). I also found that my belly would change shape and size, sometimes having to do with the time of day and others for no reason I could make sense of.
Finally, I can totally relate to worrying about not feeling the baby. At my 20wk OB appt, I asked for an u/s because of this, but was told all was fine given the heartbeat. Shortly thereafter the little bubbles or stomach rumbling I was feeling turned into more recognizable bumps and movement.
I'm sure you'll be feeling movements soon too!!!

I would check with your doctor if you're at all concerned. You have to be VERY careful around lead paint, I wouldn't take the chance if you don't know...even with a respirator. Who knew that pregnancy was a 24/hr a day job! Hang in there! You're getting SO CLOSE!

I wouldn't take chances at 29 weeks. It's only a few more and that little one will be here. That little on'es lungs are trying to develop I would stay away from anything that jeopardize their development. That sanding can wait besides you should be resting and getting ready for the babies arrival. XO :)

I wish it were that simple Jenn. If the house doesn't get done with construction soon I will have to move into it with the construction going on and that I don't want to do. We can only swing rent and a morgage for so long. It's really hard. I wish I wasn't in this situation and that I had a life of luxury where i could just put my feet up and rest. Of course that is the ideal way to spend your pregnancy. The baby will be here before you know it and I'm just hoping I have a home to bring him home to not a construction zone with no bathroom. time is ticking.
