Close Endometriosis
Was diagnosed with Endo a little over a year ago, went to the ER and ended up having emergency surgery (they thought my appendix had ruptured). Had the laser surgery to remove it shortly after my appendectomy. I feel like it has taken control of my life in such a short time. Still trying to work though the fact that I will have this disease the rest of my life (or at least hopefully only until menopause? Ha).
Treatments
- Extended-Cycle Birth Control Not Working
- Experience with Lybrel was horrible, bled for 3 months straight, still with the constant pain.
- Fibrovan Somewhat Helpful
- I have no idea if this helped or not, I took it for awhile, but ended up having laser surgery anyway. No side effects that I could tell.
- Laser Surgery Somewhat Helpful
- Worked for awhile, but I know that it is back, my doctor wants to do another surgery... if only I had insurance...
- Provera Somewhat Helpful
- Have been on this since my first lap a little over a year ago, my doctor says that unless I want to try the Lupron (which I really don't), or go in for more surgery, this is my only option for treatment right now...
- Surgery Working / Worked
